Moonlight

The image of this character looking out at the mountain and the moon is one that’s stuck with me for a long time and I’ve drawn a lot of variations. In this one, the mountain is decidedly more fantastical. It’s actually a sleeping dragon, and prominent “teeth” bring out that concept in a more overt way.

There is also an element of duality in the lighting. If I were to adjust this, I think I’d put more work into that aspect and place the moon opposite the sun.
